Simplifying the Shared Platform - ImagIT Solo
Updated 2026-09-17
When we started ImagIT, our plan was to only release the very best: every service running on the highest-available infrastructure, with full high availability everywhere. That sounds great on paper, but it also comes with a higher cost price for everyone. Most people don't need 99.999% uptime and prefer 99% uptime for a more accessible price.
So we are changing the plan. The shared platform is getting simpler, and we are rebranding it to make its purpose unmistakable: ImagIT Solo.
What is changing
ImagIT Solo is built around one simple reality: it is meant for individual users.
- A simpler setup, a lower price. High availability is being dropped from the default shared platform. It makes the service cheaper for everyone and lets us focus effort where it matters.
- You are mostly isolated from each other. Every account on the platform is separated. Your files, passwords, and documents are yours alone, and you will not be affected by another user's usage.
- More is still possible. High-availability setups and private environments with collaboration features for teams remain available on request. Tell us what you need and we will tailor a plan for you.
In short: ImagIT Solo is a lean, private, and affordable platform for individuals offering a continuously expanding software suite.
You will see these changes reflected on our website soon — we are updating the site to match this new direction.
Our road to 1.0
To gather real feedback before release, we are moving through three phases.
| Phase | Access | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Alpha | Limited, free | Platform statistics, user wishes and feedback, a focused software suite, continuous tuning |
| 2. Beta | Limited | Definitive infrastructure, expanded software suite, active monitoring and alerting, branding |
| 3. Release 1.0 | Public | General availability |
Phase 1 — Alpha
- Limited free access for a small group of users
- Gathering platform statistics to understand real resource needs
- Collecting user wishes and feedback to steer the roadmap
- A focused software suite — file storage and sharing, password management, notes and documentation, code repository
- Continuous platform tuning based on what we learn
Phase 2 — Beta
- Limited access to a larger group
- Moving to the definitive infrastructure
- Expanding the software suite
- Active monitoring and alerting
- Full branding
Phase 3 — Release 1.0
- Public availability
- The complete product, as designed with your feedback
What this means for you
Feedback is now more important than ever. During the alpha, every statistic we gather and every wish you share directly shapes what 1.0 looks like.
